Stephen “Steve” Francis Ferriter

ROCKY MOUNT - Stephen "Steve" Francis Ferriter, age 71, passed away on Thursday, January 20, 2022. Born in Champaign County, IL on March 12, 1950, he was the son of the late Peter Francis Ferriter and Jeanette Heck. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Danny Ferriter. Steve is survived by his wife of 50 years, Cathy Ann Ferriter; his daughter, Courtney Diane Ferriter of Athens, GA; and his sister, Kitty Lynn Goss of Brandon, MS. An Internment Service Outside with Military Honors to celebrate Steve's life will be held on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Trinity Lutheran Church Memorial Garden, 433 S. Winstead Ave., Rocky Mount, NC 27804 with Pastor Alice Curl officiating. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the family is requesting the need for wearing of masks due to health concerns faced around our nation at this time. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Steve's memory to Odin's Orphans Rescue, PO Box 244, Spring Hope, NC 27882.   1. The Litt family is deeply saddened by the death of Steve Ferriter. Cathy and Courtney, you are in our hearts. We pray you will find peace and comfort in knowing that the Litts grieve with you. We know he was a wonderful husband and father who cared deeply about making sure you knew that. You can rest assured that he died knowing your love.   2. Cathy and Courtney, I am so saddened by this news of Steve’s passing. I have so many wonderful memories of him from Barton. He was definitely a kind soul and loved by many. Steve made coming to work everyday and adventure for sure! He will be greatly missed. I offer prayers of peace and comfort to you both.
