Robert Raymond "Bob" Wilber

ROCKY MOUNT – Robert Raymond “Bob” Wilber, age 73, passed away on Thursday, September 5, 2024. Born in Canton, Ohio on February 12, 1951, he was the son of the late Robert Arthur Walther and Delores Martin Reimann.
Bob began his professional career with Helser Industries, bringing him to Rocky Mount from Portland, Oregon, until their closure at which time he went to work for Edwards Crane, ultimately retiring from Dustex LLC, now LDX Solutions. Following his retirement, he took great joy in spending time with his grandchildren and close friends. A dedicated and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and good friend to many, Bob will be deeply missed and never forgotten by all those who knew him.
Bob is survived by his wife of 51 years, Carole Huff Wilber; his son, Robert “Rob” Wilber (Jenny); his grandchildren, Abram and Murray; his sisters, Jancene Shields and Nanette Bangle (Fred); his brother, Paul Hamilton (Mary); and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and close friends.
A Celebration of Life Service to celebrate Bob’s life will be held on Friday, September 13, 2024, at 11:00 AM in the Englewood Baptist Church, 1350 S Winstead Ave, Rocky Mount, NC 27803, with Rev. Charles Taylor officiating. Visitation with the family will be immediately following the services at Englewood Baptist Church.
