Robert Mark Williams

Robert Mark Williams, age 76, passed away Monday, November 7, 2011. He was born in Nash County on August 23, 1935 to W.C. (Preacher) Williams and Mary Elizabeth Harris Williams. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, John W. Williams. He was a 1955 graduate of Benvenue High School and served in the United States Ai r Force as an Air Policeman. He worked at Borden Inc. and then Campbell University in the transportation section until his retirement. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and loved his church family. Bob leaves behind his wife of 46 years, Fairy Bunn Williams; children, Lynn Williams Spain and husband Robbie of Dortches, Robert Mark Williams II of Pearl River, New York and wife Erin and Amanda Williams of Raleigh; and grandchildren, Sarah Spain of Dortches, Ryan Mark Williams and Jillian Williams of New York. He is also survived by his sister, Janie Williams Eatmon and husband Millard of St. Petersburg, Florida; and several cousins, nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 7:00pm Thursday, November 10, 2011 at Dortches Baptist Church. Visitation with the family will follow the service.
