Robert Manuel Nowalk

ROCKY MOUNT - Robert Manuel Nowalk, age 90, passed away on Wednesday, January 27, 2021. Born in Lackawanna County, PA on May 29, 1930, he was the son of the late Frank Nowalk and Julia M. Nowalk. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Donald Nowalk, Janet Nowalk, Willard Nowalk, Franklin Nowalk, Andrew Nowalk, and Carl Nowalk. Robert was a Navy veteran who served in the Korean War. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him. Robert is survived by his wife of 63 years, Audrey C. Nowalk of Rocky Mount; his son, Ronald Nowalk of Johnson City, TN; his daughter, Kathryn Blackmon (David) of Rocky Mount; his grandchildren, Brian Blackmon (Elizabeth) and Justin Blackmon; his great-grandchildren, Benjamin Blackmon and Luke Blackmon; his siblings, Richard Nowalk, Jack Nowalk, Russell Nowalk (Mary Ann), George Nowalk, Joe Nowalk (Carmela), Kathy Miller (William), and Eddie Nowalk (Barbara); and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to give special thanks to the other caregivers in Robert's life that cared for him so deeply; JJ, Crystal, Sandy, and Jessica. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Robert's memory to Community Home Care & Hospice, 2479 Hurt Drive, Rocky Mount, NC 27804.
