BATTLEBORO - Rebecca Batchelor Britt, age 84, passed away on Friday, July 20, 2018. Born in Nash County, NC on November 9, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Van Buren Batchelor, Sr. and Lucy Matthews Batchelor. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Harris Randil Britt, brother, Van Buren Batchelor, Jr.; and sister, Vanette Coggin.
Rebecca leaves behind to cherish her memory, son, Randall "Keith" Britt (Kim Sutton) of Battleboro; and daughter, Vickie Britt Lamm (Cecil) of Nashville. She is also survived by grandchildren, Dawn Michelle Lamm, Angela Lynn Lamm, and Daniel Keith Britt; and sister, Margie Brantley of Spring Hope; and several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, July 23, 2018 at 4:00 PM in the Chapel of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Pastor Alan Williams officiating. Visitation with the family will follow the service in the Atrium of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home. There will be a Private Family Burial at a later date at Forest Hill Cemetery.
The family would like to thank Rebecca's caregivers, Kim Sutton, Patsy Pittman, Cathy and Pat for their outstanding care of their mother.
