Penny Sellers Macklin

Penny Sellers Macklin passed away Thursday, January 27, 2011. She was born in Nash County on November 30, 1949. Penny enjoyed traveling, going to the beach and pool, dancing, and spending time with her family and friends. Penny was preceded in death by her step-father, Melvin Bowles and her father, David Phillip Sellers. Penny leaves to cherish her memory, her mother, Margaret Guy Bowles of Rocky Mount; daughter and son-in-law, Margaret Anna Macklin Nelms and Bryan Nelms of Red Oak; son and daughter-in-law, Joseph (Joey) Wayne Macklin, Jr. and Monica Macklin of Rocky Mount; grandchildren, Chad Hunter Nelms, Sarah Pate Nelms, Kayla Rose Macklin, and Tanner Joseph Macklin; sister, Phyllis Sellers Hudlow and husband Bob of Waynesboro VA; her beloved pet, Misty Macklin; longtime best friends, Debbie Marks of Nashville and Louise McCarter of Rocky Mount; and her special friend, Sonny Bishop of Wilson. A memorial service will be held at 7:00p.m. Tuesday February 01, 2011 at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home with Rev. Dave Grogan and Dr. Blake Dempsey officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The American Cancer Society, for: Breast Cancer Research, 8300 Health Park, Suite 10, Raleigh NC 27615.
