Nancy Rebecca Joyner Viverette

Rocky Mount - Nancy Rebecca Joyner Viverette, age 86, passed away on Monday, August 31, 2015. Born in Nash County, NC on June 9, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Hendricks C. Joyner and Dora Frances Braswell Joyner. She was also preceded in death by her two sisters, Myra Mitchner and Dorothy Dale. Nancy retired with over 30 years of employment with Rocky Mount Cord in 1995. She was a longtime member of Dortches Baptist Church where she played the piano and sang in the choir. Two of here passions were sewing clothes for her family and friends and gardening. She lived her life the way she wanted and was quite happy. Nancy leaves behind to cherish her memory, her sons, Patrick Wayne “Ricky” Viverette and his wife, Amy, of Rocky Mount and Mike Viverette and his wife, Rhonda, of Nashville, NC; her daughters, Frances Roberts of Raleigh, NC and Donna Huffman and her husband, Ron of Cedar Point, NC; her 10 grandchildren, her 9 great-grandchildren and her great great-grandson. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2015 at 2:00pm in the Chapel of Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home Cremation Services with Pastor Phillip Barton officiating. Burial will follow at Pineview Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service.
