Miriam Neville Coppage

ENFIELD - Miriam Neville Coppage, age 99, passed away on Saturday, June 25, 2022. Born in Halifax County, NC on December 25, 1922, she was the daughter of the late JP Neville, Sr. and Carrie Willey Neville. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Coppage, Sr.; and her brother, James P. Neville, Jr. Miriam was a longtime member of Enfield United Methodist Church where she served as the treasurer. She loved music, especially Big Band music. Miriam's favorite hobby was shopping, as she loved to shop. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her, but her loving spirit will never be forgotten as she was everything to her family. Miriam is survived by her son, Robert "Bob" Lee Coppage, Jr. and wife, Beth, of Greensboro; her daughter, Jan Coppage Griffin of Rocky Mount; her grandsons, Jason Fly and wife, Nikki and John Mumford; and her great-grandchildren, Ryleigh Fly, Sophia Mumford, and Gage Mumford. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, June 30, 2022, at 2:30 PM at Enfield United Methodist Church, 209 Whitfield Street, Enfield, NC 27823 with Rev. Gib Harrison officiating. Burial will follow the service at Elmwood Cemetery. A visitation will be from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM prior to the service in the Sanctuary of Enfield United Methodist Church.
