Mary Magdalene Proctor Harris

Mary “Magdalene” Proctor Harris, 77, went home to meet the Lord on Sunday, November 17, 2013. She was born in Edgecombe County on December 17, 1935. She was the daughter of the late Sterling Thomas Proctor and Ada Braswell Proctor. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Curtis Harris, Jr.; and sister Evangeline Proctor Gouge Miller of Rocky Mount. Magdalene was a charter member of Oak View Baptist Church, she loved the Lord and was a compassionate prayer warrior. She will be truly missed by all that knew her. Left to cherish her memory, her daughter, Sherry Harris Bunn and husband, Danny of Rocky Mount; grandson, Richard Bradley Bunn and wife, Avena-Lyn of Madison, FL; two brothers, Steven Thomas Proctor and wife, Frances of Elm City and Wilton Earl Proctor of Rocky Mount; along with special friends, a pet dog, Bella and cat, Puddin. A graveside service to remember Magdalene will be held at 2:00pm Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at Rocky Mount Memorial Park with Rev. David Taylor officiating. The family will receive friends and relatives at the home of her daughter.
