Mary Joyner Jackson

ROCKY MOUNT - Mary Joyner Jackson, age 89, passed away on Monday, March 19, 2018. Born in Nash County, NC on October 3, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Kennie Joyner and Mamie Pridgen Joyner. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Robert Edward Jackson; infant daughter; brothers, Thurman, Harrison, Cecil, Junior (Kennie), Larry, and Buddy Joyner; sisters, Dora Williams, Emma Mae Turner, Jennie Daughtridge, and Bell Turner. Mary leaves behind to cherish her memory, son, Robert "Scott" Jackson, Sr. and wife, Angelia; and daughter, Patsy Roberta Jackson Jones, all of Rocky Mount. She is also survived by grandchildren, Michael Jones and wife, Susan, Robert "Robbie" Scott Jackson, Jr. and wife, Ambre, Jonathan Jackson, Chris Joyner and wife, Natasha; great-grandchildren, Eli Jones, Cameryn, Will, and Leah Jackson, Braxton and Mason Barth, Isabella Koopman, and Julien Simon; sister-in-law, Joan Joyner of Rocky Mount; several nieces and nephews; and friends. A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at 3:00 PM at Rocky Mount Memorial Park Chapel on the Hill Mausoleum with Pastor Mark Pridgen officiating. The Family will receive friends and relatives on Friday, March 23, 2018 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Mary's Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, 4200 Morganton Road, #300, Fayetteville, NC 28314.
