Mary Elizabeth Bryant Perry, age 97, passed away Sunday, June 03, 2012. Born in Cumberland County on October 25, 1914, she was the daughter of the late Harvey Hartman Bryant and Sarah Elizabeth Fisher Bryant. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Thomas Perry; two sisters and three brothers.
Ms. Perry dedicated her life to the care and nurturing of her family.
A loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she leaves behind two daughters, Gloria P. Mosley and husband Wilbur, and Sarah P. Pendergrass and husband Donald Ray, both of Rocky Mount; two sons, Ronald W. Perry and wife Anne of Beaufort, and Ollie T. Perry and wife Rebecca Annis of Rolesville; six grandchildren, Ronald Bryan Perry, Robert Perry, Deborah Keel, Timi Karen Jackson, Thomas Pendergrass and Ronda Cowan; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends and relatives 7:00pm to 8:30pm on Sunday, June 10, 2012 at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home and other times at the home of her daughter, Gloria Mosley. A service to remember Ms. Perry will be held 2:00pm Monday, June 11, 2012 in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Pineview Cemetery.
