  8. Dennis and I grew up together and attended Bassett and also part of my time at R.M. Wilson. I was born on December 24,1950 and of course Dennis on the 25th. We both had house numbers of 1114. We were 2 blocks parallel apart. Dennis was a great kid and friend. I spent many after school days, at his house. We moved to a new home in late 1964. So I didn’t see him for years. It is ironic that Rev. Jerry Edwards is giving rites. We all were in the same classes at Bassett and if course friends. My heart is heavy with the loss of Dennis. I’ll never forget him. To his wife and sons, the most heart- felt condolences. You husband and father, was a wonderful man. My God be with you. Irvin Walker.
