Margie Wester Gardner

ROCKY MOUNT - Margie Wester Gardner, age 78, passed away on Wednesday, August 4, 2021. Born in Nash County, NC on March 13, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Bert Wester and Lena Mae Taylor Braswell. She was also preceded in death by the father of her children, John "Bunky" Gardner. Margie retired from CenturyLink. She was a member of Englewood Baptist Church. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister and will be truly missed by all who knew her. Margie is survived by her son, John "Jody" Henry Gardner, III (Brenda); her daughter, Mary Ellen Holt (Shane); her grandchildren, Cody Gardner, Alex Holt, Bishop Holt, Brooke Collins, and Amber Gardner; her eight great-grandchildren; and her brothers, Joseph Wester, John Kelly Braswell, and Keith Braswell. A Celebration of Margie's Life will be held on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Rev. Robert Beaman officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM prior to the service in the Atrium of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Margie's memory to St. Jude Childrens Hospital, 501 St. Judes Place, Memphis, TN 38105.   1. Mary Ellen and family, we are so sorry for the loss of Margie. She was truly a unique individual. I will remember the many years she was a good friend to Mom( Kay Rowland), how she lived my children- Diana and Andrew and always asked about them even in this last year.

Nothing but laughter and she was the center🥰 God received another angel! Mamie will have biscuits waiting and Judy will have a party going on! Love you bunches!
