  1. I will miss you Margaret. You were my friend and neighbor for 28 years You had a heart of gold.. I will never forget going out for lunch and talking for hours. We really did share some very good times together, R.I.P. My friendtwo_hearts

  2. Margaret was an important part of our Rocky Mount Sr. High School Class of 1967. She was very kind and intelligent. While I have not seen her in many years, she was my high school friend and I remember her well. I know she will be missed. Judy Jordan Harritan, Whiteville, NC

  3. H I…. I was saddened to learn of the death of Margaret Jane. She had a zest for life and, of course, that wonderful Estelle smile. I will always cherish the memory of the fun times spend on that screened porch on West Haven Blvd. Those were fun times and all of us benefited from knowing each other. Please accept my sympathy. Bob Henry Panama City Beach, FL

  4. I used to spend Friday nights with Margaret while we were in high school. We enjoyed making Chef Boy-Ar-Dee box pizzas for ourselves while her parents went out. I’d go to a Saturday morning organ lesson and return to her place for the best fried chicken dinner I have ever eaten, fixed by the Tharringtons’ maid Bessie. Margaret was a dutiful student. If a teacher suggested knowing a vocabulary list would help your SAT score, Margaret would learn every word on the list. She and I were good friends, and I’m sorry to hear she died. Beverly Rosser Reitzel, Asheville, NC
