Lynn Dean Crumroy

Rocky Mount - Dean Crumroy, age 69, passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2015. He was born on April 2, 1946, in Florence, Oregon, to the late Otto and Ruth Crumroy. Dean was a kind man who would give the shirt off of his back to any stranger. An avid football fan he was, he especially had a passion for college football and was sure to have never missed an Oregon Ducks game. Dean proudly served his country enlisting in the United States Air Force from 1964 until 1968, where he was stationed mostly overseas. With a strong desire to serve and assist his community, he was involved as a volunteer Fireman, utilizing his specialization as an EMT to teach others CPR. A dedicated and loving husband, father, and friend to all, Dean will be forever missed but never forgotten. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife, Debbie Crumroy of Rocky Mount; his seven children, Danielle Crumroy, Andrew Crumroy, Ashley Arbgast, Tonya McMurrian and her husband Travis, Margret Crumroy, Brenda Mann, and April Goin and her husband Frank. Also surviving are his seven grand-children, Rebecca, Hope, and John Goin, Juliet Garwood, Alexa Mann, and Trevor and Taylor McMurrian; his sister Martha Hammond and his brother, Otto Crumroy, Jr. and his wife Joan.
