Lucille Cook Allen died at 9:30 AM August 1, 2012 at her 2nd home in Oakton, VA of congestive heart failure. She resided at 1501 Memory Lane in Rocky Mount, NC. She was born on February 4, l921 as one of eight children to George Walter Robbins and Frances Adelia Batchelor. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Red, Leslie, Johnny, Joe, Sallie Mae George; and her sons, William Earl Cook and Joseph Wayne Cook.
She is survived by her daughter, Pearl Erber of Oakton, VA; and sister, Emma Gray Mosley. She had eight grandchildren: Bill, Michael, Johnny, Scott Joey Cook, Susan Farmer, Lynn Thomas and Geoff Erber, and eleven great-grandchildren: Cameron, Grant, Dylan, Megan, Christopher, Makayla Braxton Cook, Tyler Lexiee Farmer, and Breckin Micah Erber
Visitation will be held 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM Friday evening, 8/3/12 at Wheeler Woodlief Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday. 8/4/12 in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow the service at Pineview Cemetery. Family and friends are welcome to fellowship with the family Saturday after the burial at her church, New Vision Family Worship Center, 4923 Oak Level Rd, Rocky Mount, NC.
