Lizzie “Gray” Robinson Freeman

ROCKY MOUNT - Lizzie "Gray" Robinson Freeman, age 93, passed away on Wednesday, April 20, 2022. Born in Edgecombe County, NC on January 18, 1929, she was the daughter of the late John Augustus Robinson and Gladys Keel Robinson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Howard Clemmon Freeman; her son, Gordon Freeman; her brother, W. A. "Billy" Robinson; and her sisters, Patricia Robinson Lancaster, Mary Evelyn Brantley, and Gladys Robinson Lucas. Gray is survived by her daughter, Terry Ann Freeman; her daughter-in-law, Trudy Freeman; her granddaughter, Stephanie Mikeal and husband Derek; her great-grandchildren, Emery Roger Bowling, III and Evan Howard Bowling; her sisters, Lydia Pearl Robinson Whitehurst and Gussie Robinson Gibson; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Graveside Service to celebrate Gray's life will be held on Friday, April 29, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. A visitation with the family will follow the service at the graveside.   2. Mrs Freeman was a wonderful lady a very dear friend. Dedicated to her family especially her daughter Terry. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her Love and prayers for her family.

  3. Mrs. Freeman was one of the kindest people I’ve ever met. I admired her dedication to family, her faith and her courage. While I’m sad that she has passed, I rejoice that she is with Mr. Freeman, Gordon and so many others. Rest In Peace. You certainly deserve it. Love you.

I met you at The Carrolton and we always had conversation every time we were there visiting our loved one, You was such a dedicated and wonderful mother to Terry, It broke my heart to hear of your passing. I know God will continue to watch over Terry because I know how much you have prayed and cried. Take your rest now and I will always remember you as such a wonderful mother. RIP Mrs Gray.
