Linda Sue Carroll Perry

ROCKY MOUNT - Linda “Sue” Carroll Perry, age 73, passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2016, 17 years to the day that her late husband, Addison Dail “Pete” Perry passed away. Born in Carteret County, NC on September 16, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Jesse Woodrow Carroll and Armecia Willis Carroll and sister of the late Terry Steven Carroll.
Sue was a retired bookkeeper from Wade-Cary Enterprises/Hardees with 30 years of service. A devoted member of Englewood Baptist Church, Sue used her God given gifts to serve others. Many people who passed through the church enjoyed a meal prepared by Sue. She enjoyed sitting on her screened porch with her four-legged companion, Romey, looking at her flowers that she tended to daily. She loved reading and enjoyed traveling with family and friends. A devoted wife, a loving mother, grandmother and friend, Sue will be dearly missed and will never be forgotten.
Sue leaves behind to cherish her memory, son, Addison “Dail” Perry, Jr. and wife, Tracy; grandchildren, Addison Cole Perry and McKenzie Brooks Perry of Greensboro. She is also survived by her sister, Sylvia Coward and husband, James, of Greenville; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Pineview Cemetery. The family will receive friends and relatives on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home Cremation Services.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Samaritans Purse, P. O. Box 3000, Boone, NC 28607 or Victory Reading, in care of Englewood Baptist Church, 1350 S. Winstead Ave., Rocky Mount, NC 27804.

Dail. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen you but my heart breaks for you. I met both your parents several years back and they both were so sweet and so nice. God is there for you. Just call out to him. Sending prayers to you and your family.

Gail and I are so sorry for your loss. Will keep you all in our thoughts and prayers. We served with Sue in the food ministry at Englewood Baptist. She was so faithful and a lot of fun, too. She will be missed greatly and remembered fondly as a fine Christian woman.
