Linda H. Huggins

December 29, 1943 ~ June 11, 2021

ROCKY MOUNT - Linda H. Huggins, age 77, following a short period of declining health, Linda went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, June 11, 2021. Born in Edgecombe County, NC on December 29, 1943, she was the daughter of Lindsey C. Hardy and Annie Edwards Hardy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Horace Lee Huggins; her daughter, Linda "Caroline" Horne; her brothers, Reginald Talmadge Hardy, Robert Lindsey Hardy, Franklin Roosevelt Hardy and her infant brother, Edgar Mellon Hardy. Linda graduated from Benvenue High School in 1962. She retired from Boice Willis after 35 years of service as a Medical Technologist. Linda was a longtime member of St. Paul United Methodist Church where she was a faithful servant who loved her family, her church family, and her many friends. She made a difference in the life of everyone who knew her and she leaves behind a tremendous legacy of life, love, and laughter. Linda leaves behind to cherish her memory her sisters, Anne Carolyn Wright and her husband, Tom of Raleigh and Peggy H. Joyner and her husband, Howard of Rocky Mount; sister-in-law, Marjorie Fuller Cockrell; her "adopted" daughter, Wanda Hales of Wilson; and numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews. In honoring and respecting Linda's last wishes, no services will be held. The family would like to extend a special heartfelt thank you to the entire staff at Nash Healthcare Systems for their exceptional care and kindness for Linda. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Linda's memory to St. Paul United Methodist Church, 1217 Bethlehem Road, Rocky Mount, NC 27803.
