Linda Gail Rose Wells

ROCKY MOUNT – Linda Gail Rose Wells, age 65, went to be with our Lord on Thursday, July 13, 2023. Born in Nash County, NC on July 9, 1958, she was the daughter of the late Romie Vernon Rose and Betty Ray “Mema” Denton Rose. She was also preceded in death by her brother, William Charles Rose. Linda was a member of Grace Baptist Temple. She especially enjoyed being with her family and helping others. A loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and dear friend, Linda will be forever missed and loved by all who knew her.Linda is survived by her husband of 47 years, Robert Louis "Bobby" Wells, Jr.; her sons, Jason Paul Wells and wife, Jamie, Phillip Andrew Wells, and Mark Allan Wells; her daughter, Dana Wells Harrell and husband, Jonathan; her grandchildren, Ryan, Phillip “PJ”, Kaleb, Amber, Taylor, Carter, and Sean; her great-granddaughter, Samantha; her sister-in-law, Debi Rose Webb; and her nephews, Michael Rose and wife, Lisa, and David Rose. A Funeral Service to celebrate Linda’s life will be held on Sunday, July 16, 2023, at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1130 N. Winstead Avenue, Rocky Mount, NC 27804, with Rev. Tim Smith officiating. Burial will follow the service at Edgecombe Memorial Park. Visitation with the family will be from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM prior to the service in the Atrium of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
