Katherine Ward Mott, age 80, passed away Tuesday, May 1, 2012. She was born September 24, 1931 in Alabama to the late Ira Ward and Dell Lee Ward.
Ms. Mott will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother. She is survived by her children, David Mott (Brenda), Betty Mott, Doris Smith (Phil), Linda Pollard, Lee Mott (Brenda), Mary Lewis (Dean), Frances Davis and Kenny Mott; grandchildren, Keith Mott, Christy Medlin, Wendy Fox, Jeffrey Lewis, Alex Smith, Jessica Styles, Patrick Mott, Kristina Mott, Heather Mott, Crystal Mott, Brandy Mott, Tyler Mott, Misty Mott and Mandy Mott; seven great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life service will be held 6:00pm on Thursday, May 3, 2012 at Wheeler Woodlief Funeral Home with Rev. William Harper presiding. The family will receive friends and family at the funeral home immediately following the service.

Betty I was so sorry to hear about your Mom. I lost my Mom a little over a year ago. It is a tough loss but you will see her again and you will feel her presence with you. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
To all of the Mott children and their children and all others… I give my condolences for the loss of your mother…Mrs. Mott was an exceptional woman… She kept three of my children for awhile,, Bobbie K, Bridget and Tonya… She was always so nice and polite and the children loved her… Over the years I thought of her frequent…. Betty, so sorry for your loss, my mother died a year ago around this time. It seems as if there is a missing piece to life, but it is a time to begin to remember all the good and hold on to it. God bless Debra Williams Wheeless
