Julia Ward Davis Perry

Julia Ward Davis Perry, age 79, passed away on Thursday, May 28, 2015. Born in Brunswick County, NC on November 3, 1935, she is the daughter of the late Thomas Teddy Ward and Vada Mae Jenrette Ward. She was predeceased by her husband, George Ray Davis, Sr.; her husband, Donald Allen Perry; her son, Jeffrey Jay Davis and step-mother, Inez Dutton Ward. She leaves to cherish her memory, her son, George Ray Davis, Jr. and his wife, Bonita, of Sandy Cross; daughter, Teri Davis Taylor and her husband, W.C., of Rocky Mount; seven grandchildren, Baker Ray Davis and his wife Sarah, Tre Taylor and his wife Gray, Georgia Davis Brown and her husband Lee, Anna Meredith Taylor, Ian Davis Taylor, Jaycie Marie Davis and Callie Jean Davis and three great-grandchildren, Piper Jay Davis, Cal Taylor and Weston Taylor. Julia is also survived by a sister, Marilyn Ward Moore, and brothers, Kenneth Ward and his wife Hilda, Ted Ward and his wife Jackie, and Garry Ward and his wife Virginia. The family would like to thank her caregivers and neighbors for their love and support during the last five years of Julias life. A Graveside Service will be held on Sunday, May 31, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. A visitation will be held at the graveside after the service and other times at her home, 343 Clifton Road, Rocky Mount, NC. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sunset Avenue Baptist Church Childrens Ministries, 3732 Sunset Avenue, Rocky Mount, NC 27804 Arrangements are entrusted to Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home Cremation Services, 1130 N.   1. Spunky, strong, and loving.. She taught her children well after my brother passed on. I find it coincidental that she left this world on what would have been my father’s…her father in law’s birthday. How she love daddy Jake as well. I love you Julia Bell.
