Joyce W. Vick

Nashville - Joyce W. Vick, age 71, passed on Saturday, July 25, 2015. Born in Edgecombe County, NC on August 16, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Charlie Arthur Williams and Dovie Ann Williams. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie G. Vick, Jr.; her sister, Josephine Corbett; and her three brothers, Charlie Arthur Williams, Jr., John Ambler Williams and Harvey Williams. Joyce was a devoted wife until her husband passed away. She was very passionate about Vicks Mobile Home Terrace that she and her husband owned. It was not only a business but more about helping the families which became part of their family. She battled with Diabetes and Multiple Scloroisis for many years but felt so blessed and thankful for the life God had given her. She also was very giving and kind hearted to all who knew her. She loved surrounding herself with family and friends. Joyce leaves behind to cherish her memory, her two sisters, Daisy Joyner of Nashville and Constance Price of Rocky Mount and one brother, Jack Williams of Hickory, NC. She is survived by her one niece and 6 nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 11:00am at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home Cremation Services, 1130 N. Winstead Avenue, Rocky Mount NC 27804 with the Pastor Mike Coggin officiating. Visitation with the family will be on Monday, July 27, 2015 from 7:00pm to 8:30pm at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home Cremation Services, 1130 N. Winstead Avenue, Rocky Mount NC 27804.
