Joyce Stallings Boykin

Joyce Mae Stallings Boykin, age 82, passed away on Tuesday, September 23, 2014. Born in Franklin County on February 5, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Stallings and Julia Moore Stallings. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Rubin Boykin. She leaves behind one son, Harold Junior Boykin and his wife, Jatona of Coats, NC; her grandchildren, Olivia Wilson and her husband, Timmy; Adam Boykin, Emily Harbaugh and her husband, Greg; and Jana Beasley and her husband, Britt. Joyce is also survived by one great- granddaughter, Braylin Beasley. She is also survived by one brother, Ralph Stallings and his wife, Phyllis of Castalia, and two sisters, Helen Pittman and Mary Baker both of Castalia. A funeral service to remember Joyce will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, September 26, 2014 at Wheeler Woodlief Funeral Home with Dr. Harry Fowler officiating. Visitation with the family will be Friday from 1:00pm to 2:00pm. A private burial will be at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
