SPRING HOPE - Jesse “JC” Clifton Bailey, age 83, passed away on Monday, January 23, 2017. Born in Nash County, NC on August 25, 1933, he was the son of the late Dockie Lee Bailey and Nettie C. Nixon. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Jo Bailey; and brother, Charles Sidney Bailey.
JC leaves behind to cherish his memory, daughters, Jessie Faye Keen of Spring Hope; Melody Steed and husband, Frank, of Spring Hope; and Net Bailey of Nashville and step-son, John Keen of Spring Hope. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Donna Hammond; Christy Baker; and Mandy Poole; great-grandchildren, Blair and Bailey Bales; Makayla Baker and Jayden Murray; and great great-granddaughter, Mariah Paris.
A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Rocky Mount Memorial Park with Pastor Mark E. Bateman officiating. The family will receive friends and relatives on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home Cremation Services.
