Jase Matthew Griffiths

April 20, 2013 ~ May 10, 2015

Jase Matthew Griffiths, born on April 20, 2013, went to Heaven on Sunday, May 10, 2015. A blessed gift, Jase was born in Nash County to Devon Matthew Griffiths and Stephanie Anne Wilder. He was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandfather, Tommy Cliett; his paternal great-grandfather, Wendell Holmes and his uncle Adam Wilder. A blessing to everyone who knew him, Jase had a smile which would brighten anyone's day. He was his mama's little boy, always singing to her favorite songs and dancing around her filling the air with his beautiful laughter. When it came to daddy, Jase was all eyes and all ears learning to fill his shoes. Daddy's best friend and buddy, he could joke and play all day. Whether it was Jase blowing bubbles in the air or excited over throwing his big, big balls or "BB Balls", his short life here was truly a blessing as even at such a young age, Jase has touched and changed many lives. In addition to his parents, Jase is survived by his maternal grandparents, Ron Wilder and Cindy Cliett Wilder of Rocky Mount; his paternal grandparents, Terry and Debbie Holmes Griffiths of Whitakers; maternal great-grandmother, Anne Cliett of Rocky Mount and his paternal great-grandmother, Phyllis Holmes Blair of Pittsboro. He is also survived by his aunt, Tammy Harrell and her husband Gary of Rocky Mount; and uncles, Clay Wilder and wife Melanie of Rocky Mount and Nathan Griffiths of Whitakers and his cousins, Kenleigh Wilder, Thomas Wilder, Brannan Wilder, Gates Harrell and Gavin Harrell of Rocky Mount. He will also be dearly missed by Mrs. Dorothy "Mrs. Dot" Jenkins, his baby sitter, and by his special little friend, Ms. Brooklyn "Brook Brook" Gibson. A visitation will be held the evening of Wednesday, May 13, 2015 from 7:00pm to 8:30pm at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 1130 N. Winstead Avenue, Rocky Mount, NC 27804. It is the family's wishes to have a private burial at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 1130 N.
