Janice was an active, loyal member of the Southside Baptist Church Community for over 50 years. She rarely missed a Sunday service, sang in the church's choir, taught Sunday School, and led the children's choir. She will be missed by her family and her dear friends from many different parts of her life. Janice is survived by her four children, Tammie Barrett (Bill) and David Sherk (Peggy) of Rocky Mount NC, Michael Sherk of Murrells Inlet SC, and Melanie Sherk of San Francisco CA; her grandchildren, Megan Harrington (Steven), Ashton Barrett (Megan), Lindsey, Erin, Ryan, and Kyle Sherk; and her great-grandchildren, Libby Sloane and Barrett Harrington, and Bowen Barrett.
