James Robert Watson

James Robert Watson, age 67, passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2012. Born in Nash County on June 06, 1944, he was the son of the late John Robert Watson and Estelle Daughtridge Watson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lena Jessup Watson and brother, Thomas Arnold Watson.
James served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam conflict.
He is survived by his step-daughter, Kimberly Jessup of Thousand Oaks CA; brothers, Donald Ray Watson and wife Brenda, and John Alvin Watson and wife Lois, both of Rocky Mount; sisters, Patricia Proctor and husband Marcus, Nellie Vernon, both of Rocky Mount, and Carolyn Terrell of Leeds AL; sister-in-law, Janice Watson of Virginia Beach VA; several nieces and nephews; and good friend, Steve Hoggard.
A service to remember James will be held at 2:00pm Sunday, April 22, 2012 in the Chapel Mausoleum of Rocky Mount Memorial Park.

Watson family, I had never personally met James but my dad is Steve Hoggard and I wanted to let you know how much my dad thought of James. He called him his buddy. I am so sorry to hear about this loss and my prayers are with your family.

Death is our final step in our walk of life. It is very hard on our loved ones who are left behind. It is good for us to trust in the Bible, for help with our grief.
