James “Bubba” S. Nelms

James “Bubba” Sherrick Nelms, age 71, passed away Wednesday, October 24, 2012. Born in Warrick County VA on December 30, 1940, he was the son of the late James Wilber Nelms and Myrtle Virginia Shreves. Bubba was self-employed in the roofing business. He loved the Lord and enjoyed playing his guitar and banjo. He leaves behind three daughters, Angie Lucas, Deborah and Teresa; brother, Jack Nelms and wife Minnie of Castalia; sisters, Julia Mae Jago of Fountain CO, Darlene Ayscue and husband David of Henderson and Ellen Carter and husband Andy of Jacksonville FL; and many nieces and nephews. A service to remember Bubba will be held at 2:00pm Sunday, October 28, 2012 at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home with Rev. Henry Abbott officiating.
