ROCKY MOUNT - Irene Wester Ireland, age 89, passed away on Friday, July 2, 2021. Born in Nash County, NC on July 5, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Percy Clinton Wester and Capitola Hodges Wester. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Clem Daniel Ireland, Jr.; her sisters, Christine Elizabeth "Lizzy" Wester Holbrook and Audrey Wester Buck; and her brothers, Daniel "Dan" Ray Wester and Willie Clinton Wester.
Irene is survived by her daughter, Jeannie Lynn Ireland of Rocky Mount; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Irene's Life will be held on Friday, July 16, 2021 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Memories Mausoleum at Rocky Mount Memorial Park with her nephew, Clinton Daniel Holbrook, Jr. officiating. A visitation with the family will follow the service in the chapel until 2:30 PM.
Inurnment will take place at Rocky Mount Memorial Park in the Chapel of Memories Mausoleum.
