ENFIELD - Hulda Turner Wood, age 88, passed away on Tuesday, June 23, 2020. Born in Halifax County, NC on April 12, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Edgar Charlie Turner and Venie Leonard Turner. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Sherrod N. Wood, MD. Hulda leaves behind to cherish her memory, daughter, Amy Lou Wood of Enfield, son, Turner Sherrod Wood and wife, Betty Green Wood, of Goldsboro, and daughter, Valerie Wood Lindsay and husband, Mark, of Greenville. She is also survived by grandchildren, Sydney Wood Hill and husband, Thad, and Turner Sherrod Wood, II; and great-grandchildren, Maxwell Turner Hill and Murphy Llewellyn Hill, all of Goldsboro. A Private Family SONrise Service was held at Elmwood Cemetery in Enfield, NC. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Hulda's memory to Community Soup Kitchen, P.O.
