Helen Hildebrand Bunn

Helen Georgina Hildebrand Bunn, age 86, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, October 23, 2014. Born in Toomsboro, Georgia on July 16, 1928, she was the daughter of the late George Washington Hildebrand and Delia Huffman Hildebrand. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Allison Rudolph “Rudy” Bunn; her sisters, Luella Little, Polly Norwood, Stella Hines, Myrtle Stell, Doris Carlton, Edith Smith and Beulah Mae Ferrell; and one brother, Everette Hildebrand. Helen retired from the Rocky Mount City Schools as an Administrative Assistant. She enjoyed the beach, the mountains and the beauty of Gods creation. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church in Rocky Mount for many years and enjoyed volunteering in the library. Helen leaves behind to cherish her memory, her sons, Richard Bunn and wife, Kathy of Roanoke Rapids, NC; David Bunn of Nashville, NC; Philip Bunn and wife, Jacquelyn of Kill Devil Hills, NC; Kevin Bunn and wife, Jenny of Fayetteville, NC; and Brian Bunn of Rocky Mount, NC. She is survived by her grandchildren, Brandon, Matthew, Hannah, Shea, Aaron, John, Hilary, Graham and Audrey. She is also survived by one sister, Amy Batten of Monroe, GA. The family will receive friends and relatives Sunday, October 26, 2014 from 6:30pm to 8:30pm at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 27, 2014 at 11:00am at First Baptist Church, 200 S. Church Street, Rocky Mount, NC with Reverend Bill Grisham officiating. Burial will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church Library, 200 S. Church Street, Rocky Mount, NC.
