ROCKY MOUNT - Heather Lee Drake, age 32, passed away on Saturday, January 6, 2018. Born in Wilson County, NC on November 27, 1985, she was the daughter of Clarence B. Drake, Jr. and Rose Moore. She was preceded in death by her father, Clarence B. Drake, Jr.
Heather leaves behind to cherish her memory, sons, Jason Stotesberry and Johnny Joe Stotesberry, Jr.; daughter, Shannon Marie Stotesberry; mother, Rose Moore and step-father, James Weatherly, Sr. of Sharpsburg. She is also survived by step-brother, James Weatherly, Jr. of Elizabeth City; uncle, Michael Moore of Rocky Mount; maternal grandparents, Lee and Lois Moore of Sharpsburg; and boyfriend, Bryan Payne of Castalia.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, January 12, 2018 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Visitation with the family will be from 11:30 PM to 12:30 PM prior to the service in the Atrium of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home.

Dear Drake family, Please accept my condolence at this time of pain and grief and I’d like to share where I found comfort and hope when this enemy death took my entire family. I found much hope and comfort in what I read in Jehovah Gods word the Bible at John528,29 for there we’re told we’ll see our love ones again in the resurrection when Jesus brings them back here on earth and Isaiah258 tells us that this enemy death will be swallowed up forever. These scriptures and others help me cope with my loss and get through each day because now I know I’ll see my love ones again and so can you. I wanted to share this with you when comfort and hope is needed such as now in hopes this will help you also in some way for this is my purpose in sharing this with you at this time and please know that I do share your grief and hope you’ll feel free to let me know if I accomplished my purpose.
