Guy Dempsey Davis, Jr., 60, passed away Saturday, November 9, 2013. Born May 5, 1953, he was the son of Guy Dempsey and Peggy Hackney Davis. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Bobby Ray Davis.
Left to cherish his memory, his wife of 38 years, Grace Wall Davis of the home; daughter, Jennifer Davis of Rocky Mount, step-daughters, Loretta Harvey and Jo Outlaw both of Rocky Mount; sisters, Patricia Pendergrass and husband, John of Elm City, and Mary Evans of Rocky Mount; grandchildren, Stephanie, Daniel, Emily, Christopher, Zakary, Macilyn,; and great-grandchild, Haley.
The family will receive friends on Monday, November 11, 2013 from 3:00-4:00pm at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home. A service to remember Guy will follow the visitation at 4:00pm at the funeral home with Rev. Harry Fowler officiating.
