Guestbook

  1. I am so sorry to hear about Jay. I worked with Jay for many years. I could talk to him about anything and I know others felt the same way. It didn’t matter what it was. He genuinely cared and it showed. During my early years at MBM, I was a 20-something who was spiritually lost and Jay invited me to Parkwood Baptist Church for a performance of Heaven’s Gates and Hell’s Flames. I gave my life to Christ that night. Jay will always hold a special place in my heart.

  2. I am sad to hear of Jay’s passing but happy to know he is in his heavenly home. His dad was my dad’s best friend and the family was a part of my childhood. I was honored to play the piano with Jay on the organ at the People’s Missionary Baptist Church each Sunday. I was not even old enough to drive and my dad would drive me there after my Sunday School at Arlington Street Baptist Church.

  3. Allan and I were saddened to hear your loss. A favorite memory of Jay was on Wednesday evening service at Parkwood ,he would open our prayer time with the good old gospel songs on the piano. We send healing prayers for the family, Elizabeth and Allan Carter.

  4. Prayers for God’s grace to carry you all in days and weeks ahead. Cherish good times and precious memories, along with his love til you meet in heaven. In Christian Sympathy, Tom and Martha Lancaster Barnes

  5. My thoughts and prayers are with Jay’s family. He played Gospel music with my dad, Junior Winstead for many years and I know they will be singing and playing again in God’s Heavenly choir. Love and Prayers, Cheryl W. and Ricky Hagan

  6. I worked with Jay for over 20 years, what a fine man and one that helped me in my career. My condolences to the family, my prayers are with you. Sam
