Flora Pearl Bundy Lamm, age 76, went home to heaven on Monday, April 30, 2012. Born in Elizabeth City NC on February 02, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Haywood Garland Bundy and Monna Ivy Staples Bundy. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, James William Lamm; sisters, Hazel Ferrell and Ethel Cartwright; and brother, Victor Bundy. She was a faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church in Rocky Mount since 1962. She was devoted to her card ministry, sending words of encouragement, sympathy and love in times of need. Being a greeter on Sunday mornings was a blessing as her sweet smile and voice always offered a ray of sunshine. Flora was a loyal employee of Carolina Office Equipment Company for 57 years, finding much joy in her dedicated service there. Her most cherished moments were times spent with her family. She leaves behind a beautiful legacy for everyone she has touched. A loving mother and grandmother, she leaves behind two daughters, Amy Lamm Windham and husband Brian, and Terri Lamm Hudkins and husband Scott, both of Rocky Mount; granddaughters, Briana Winham and Karly Hudkins; grandsons, Gabriel Winham and Andrew Hudkins; sisters, Edna Bunch and Alice Reid of Elizabeth City; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service to remember Flora will be held at 2:00pm Wednesday, May 02, 2012 at Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home with Rev. Brandon Dees officiating. Visitation with the family will follow the service. A private family burial will be held at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. The family has been blessed by the outpouring of love and support from family and friends. We are thankful for Gods precious gift of friendship, the joy of salvation and the peace of eternal life. Guestbook

  1. Amy and Terri, I am so sorry about the loss of your mother. I got to know your mother when I worked with your dad at Tri-County Industries. She was truly a wonderful person. She wrote me the kindest note when I was named President of TCI–I still have it today. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Brenda Cogdell

  2. A beautiful legacy indeed. Ms. Flora had such a sweet way about her, that made other people feel valued. Sending our love and keeping you all in our prayers. Love, Ray and Leslie Thomas

  3. They are not dead, Who leave us this great heritage of remembering joy. They still live in our hearts, In the happiness we knew, in the dreams we shared. They still breathe, In the lingering fragrance, windblown, from their favourite flowers. They still smile in the moonlights silver, And laugh in the sunlights sparking gold. They still speak in the echoes of the words weve heard them say again and again. They still move, In the rhythm of waving grasses, in the dance of the tossing branches. They are not dead; Their memory is warm in our hearts, comfort in our sorrow. They are not apart from us, but part of us, For love is eternal, And those we love shall be with us throughout all eternity. Anon Our thoughts and prayers from the Rekeibe Fam.
