Emma Gray Eason Murray

ELM CITY – Emma Gray Eason Murray, age 87, passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2022. Born in Nash County, NC on December 15, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Frank Richard Eason and Belle Pridgen Eason. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Donald Eason and Gordon Eason; and her sisters, Betty Wiggs and Rachel Poland. Emma is survived by her daughter Teresa Murray; son Richard Murray; her grandchildren, Alyssa Rubin (Kris), Jessica Proctor, and Victoria Proctor; and many nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service to celebrate Emma’s life will be held on Monday, January 2, 2023, at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Burial will follow the service at Mill Branch Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM prior to the service in the Atrium of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home.
