Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. I can’t begin to imagine how many lives she impacted during her career. Count mine as one of them. A wonderful lady who was a gift to us all.

  2. Ms. Rose was a wonderful principal when our girls attended Coopers. She was and will always be loved and remembered fondly by so many. God bless and prayers for her family.

  3. Our wonderful 3rd grade teacher at Coopers Elementary School. Ms. Rose was so kind and cared about all of us so much. We learned a lot in a short period of time. Ms. Rose taught only part of the year that year. She stayed with us right up until the time. It was 1973-74 school year and she had another job on the way. We were all very excited because a baby was on the way! The baby is now Dr. Todd Rose. What a wonderful, happy time in Ms. Rose’s life! Much Love!

  4. Sorry for your loss Todd. Your mother was a wonderful lady and touched many lives. Prayers for your family.

  5. I remember her as our beloved principal at Coopers Elementary School when our children were there in late 80’s and early 90’s. She was loved by all and was a friend after the children moved on to middle school. I was very sad to learn of her passing. Praying for peace to her family!

  6. I am so sorry for your loss, please accept my sincere condolences. May the God of all comfort sustain you as you await the promises found at John 528,29 and Rev. 214 where God promises to do away with all the things that cause us suffering and pain including death here on the earth forever.(Psalm 3729) It is my sincere hope that these thoughts comfort your family at this time. Lauraj

  7. To Emily’s family, We are very sorry for your loss. I have many fond memories of her when doing hearing screening at Coopers Elementary and when working with the scouts. She was always a lot of fun. May she Rest In Peace. Love to all of you, Cathy Bass & Family

  8. I think about this woman quite often after all these years as my principle and I still miss her to this day. She was like a mom to me and my mom even adored her. When she left coopers it tore me to pieces and I believe I’m crying just as much now as then. May she RIP. My thoughts and prayers are with her family and wish y’all well through this difficult time.

  9. So sorry for the loss of someone that added so much to the lives of everyone she came in contact with. I am grateful that she was such a fine educator and that our paths crossed. Prayers for comfort and peace to all that knew and loved her.

  10. To Emily’s Family and friends my sincere condolences. Emily was my first patient as a caregiver for Home Insread Senior Care in June 2015, at her condo in Myrtle Beach. Such a lovely lady who it was my good fortune to meet. I had just had knee replacement surgery, and she bragged that She had a son who was an orthopedic surgeon. We went to BiLo’s , a store which I had never been in as I was brand new to this area. And she walked up and down every isle , even though her shopping was complete, just so that I could see the whole store. She also said the exercise was good for my knee. She was a love, and will be missed with fond memories.

  11. Thinking of you in the loss of your mother, your sister, your grandmother. Words can seldom express the thoughts that come from the heart…but may each of you find comfort in knowing others care and sympathize with you. I have many fond memories of time spent with Emily and I will miss her, too.

  12. I am so sorry to hear about Emily. She was the principal at NMBE and I loved her dearly. Her door was always open and she had such a loving spirit. One of the first things I learned was how much she loved and boys and grandchildren. I am so thankful that God saw fit for our paths to cross. She was only there one year but anytime I saw her after that Emily would hug me and act so glad to see me. Praying for peace and comfort in the coming days and weeks. Cherish the wonderful memories of your mother and grandmother.

  13. To the family of Emily Rose, I send my deepest prayers and sympathy! I had the privilege of working with Emily in may capacities in Horry County, but the most special was our time together in HR. Emily was a kind hard working individual who loved her family deeply. We often spoke about her love for her family. May God keep you through this difficult time!

  14. I’m so sorry for your loss. She was the 1st principal that I worked for in HCS. She was a very sweet, kind, and tenderhearted person. I will keep your family in my thoughts and prayers.

  15. I am praying for your family. Emily was a wonderful colleague to me as a Principal with Horry County Schools. She will be missed.

  16. I met Emily through her sister, Ebbie and she has left a footprint with me. Emily was a loving and caring person just like Ebbie. This family has touched the lives of my family and we will always remember the life and example she left for others. Our thoughts and prayers are with Todd and his family and Ebbie and her family…Hang on to the memories and they will help fill the void in your hearts..’ Love Charles and Charlotte and Family.

  17. My deepest condolences to the Rose family. I worked as school secretary while Emily was principal @ Coopers. Her devotion to the school, its staff, & students was contagious! She will be remembered for her love of the Coopers family & the energy she displayed to us all. She was a force to be reckoned with! I cannot think of her without seeing her smiling face & being in awe as to what she could do in heels!!!

  18. I knew Emily from Carolina Forest Elementary and Ocean Bay Elementary. Emily touched the hearts and minds of students, teachers, and the community. I cherish the memories. God bless and comfort you. Sent with love and respectful for an amazing woman.

  19. Emily was principal at Cooper Elementary when I worked there as Substitute and teacher assistant. Sweet lady! Great friend!
