Earl Edmondson Howell, Sr. Mr. Earl Edmondson Howell, Sr., beloved husband and father, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 21, 2010 after a long illness. Mr. Howell was 82 years old and a long time resident of Rocky Mount, NC. Mr. Howell was a United States Navy veteran, and a long time employee of Carolina Telephone and later Sprint. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Pattie; son, Eddie; three sisters, Lois Turlington and husband, Fred, Mary Aycock, and Joyce Brantley; and one brother, Dick Howell and wife, Jean. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eva and Lonnie Howell; four brothers, Robert, Speight, Peewee, and Lonnie Howell; and a sister Patsy Howell.
