Dorothy Lee Bulluck Shearin

Dorothy Lee Bulluck Shearin, age 91, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, January 3, 2015. Born in Nash County, NC on February 4, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Robert Lee Bulluck, Jr. and Minnie Pearl Davis Bulluck. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Milton Foster Shearin. Dorothy retired from Belk-Tyler Department store after 43 years of service as a dedicated and kind sales clerk. She was a faithful member of Calvary Baptist church. Dorothy was a loving and faithful wife supporting her husband of 56 years, Milton, in his business endeavors. Through the years she was always available to help family and friends in need by running errands, providing transportation or helping in any way, and all without a complaint. Dorothy leaves behind to cherish her memory her sister, Mildred Bulluck and a loving extended family who were the children she never had, for whom she was a second mother: her three cousins; Robert C. Davis and wife Gay of Greenville, SC, George Ike Davis and wife Patricia, Dan F. Davis and wife Linda all of Rocky Mount, NC; two nephews, HC and Patty Shearin of Rocky Mount, NC and Tom and Linda Shearin of Raleigh, NC; and her sister-in-law, Anita Shearin Davenport of Seabrook, MD. A funeral service will begin on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Reverend Brandon Dees and Reverend Dan Davis officiating. The family will receive friends and relatives beginning at 1:00 PM on Tuesday until time of service. Burial will follow at Pineview Cemetery.
