  3. Doris and I were school friends from 1st thru 12th grades. she lived not too far from my house in Elm City. I remember she was a very smart student. played basketball too, I think. Doris and her sisters and as many as we could get in a car would go riding around the country in Wilson County and have the most fun you can imagine!. laugh like there was no tomorrow. Last time I saw Doris was some years ago at a RMA baseball game. Since I’m the same age, my movement is very slow. Don’t get out much, but I will never forget what a wonderful person she was. I am happy to have had the pleasure to live and know Doris and interact with her life. God bless you all. Aileen Whitehead Davis

  4. Love to you. I hate I didn’t get one more time to hug Grandma DJ. Love and prayers of comfort and joy to your family. Love you all, Mary Kaye Joyner

  5. Hi my name is Kayla and I am a local bible teacher. I am so sorry for the loss of your loved one. There is a very comforting scripture at Isaiah 258. It says that soon Jehovah will swallow up death forever and that he will wipe away all of the tears. So we can all look forward to a time when death will be no more. I hope that this scripture can bring some true comfort during these difficult times.
