Rocky Mount-Doris Elizabeth Radford Davis, 85 passed away Sunday, February 21, 2010. She was born in Johnston County October 15, 1924 to the late James Harold Radford and Ima Allie Hampton Radford. Doris was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sherman Davis and a daughter, Brenda Hope Riley. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, daughter, Linda Gail Booth and husband, Tom of Rocky Mount; sons, Jimmy Davis and wife, Debbie of Tarboro, Doug Davis and wife, Sandra of Rocky Mount; son in law, John H. Riley of Rocky Mount; seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; brother, James Radford of Rocky Mount and sister, Billie Mae Langley of Rocky Mount. A funeral service will be held 7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening, February 23, 2010 at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Pridgen and Rev. Brandon Dees officiating. Visitation to follow the service and other times at the home of Linda and Tom Booth. Flowers will be accepted or memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 930-B Wellness Drive, Greenville, NC 27834.
