Doris Joyner Rivenbark

Doris Joyner Rivenbark, 85, passed away Wednesday, August 25, 2010. She was born March 14, 1925 in Pitt County, daughter of the late Willie West Joyner and Selma Griffin Joyner. She was also preceded in death by her husband Norwood Lee Rivenbark and brother, Roland Lee Joyner. Left to cherish her memory are two sons, Rodney Rivenbark and wife Robin of Whiteville and Roger Rivenbark and friend Karen Johnson of Rocky Mount; sister, Irene Joyner of Raleigh; three grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She will also be remembered by her lifelong friend and step-mother, Juanita Rivenbark; several nieces and nephews; brothers-in-law; and sisters-in-law. The family will receive friends and relatives 7-8:30pm Friday, August 27, 2010 at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home. A graveside service to celebrate Doris' life will be held 11:00a.m Saturday morning at Pineview Cemetery with the Rev. Jacky Raper and Rev. Marlene Law officiating.
