Please accept our deepest condolences for your family’s loss.
George and I are deeply sorry to hear of David’s passing. We have been friends with David, Bertsie, Ray and Pam since 1970. We cherish fond memories and visits to the Davenport farm! Blessings to all….
My uncle was one of the most wonderful men I have ever known. He had impeccable character. I had great respect for him. He was such a loving man that will be missed by all who knew him and loved him. Evie Taylor
Uncle Dave was such a special person in my life. He had a quick smile, and I loved when he laughed out loud. He always gave the best hugs and took time with a small me to sit me on his lap and talk with me. I have tremendous respect for him, and love him for showing us a bit of farm life, since we are city folks; although he did put us to work wrapping tobacco one visit! Easy-NOT, but you got a kick out of it, you rascal! Thank you for picking fresh water melons and big boiled peanuts! It says a lot about a man and woman when you look at how their children turn out, and Pam & BB and Ray and Dinah are good people to the core! I love you and know you are reunited now with mom, dad, and brother! You were placed in Jesus arms yesterday and you will be missed. But God is in control and we have to accept that, but gives comfort knowing you are well again! I will always love you, until we meet again! Your loving neice, Peggy Zeigler better known as PD to you!
Ray and Dinah and family, I am so sorry. My thoughts, prayers and love will be with you in the coming days and weeks. Ruby Hart
I am really sorry to hear of Mr. D’s passing. I am also sorry he struggled through the trials and tribulations of a disease like Parkinson’s. I really missed seeing him at church or just riding by in his truck. He always had a friendly smile and wave. May you find comfort in the Lord’s promise of everlasting life, and knowing that God’s love and the love and prayers of friends wil help ease the pain. Bonnie Leonard

My sincere condolences to the Davenport family for your loss. Grief and sorrow leek through the hole that death creates but it closes when we mediate on the wonderful promises that Jehovah has in his word the Bible, that provide us with comfort-2 Cor. 13-5! Can we imagine when sickness and disease, that cause death, will done away with completely God`s word assures us that one day no one will say they are sick-Isa 3324! Then that means Death will be no more-Isa. 258. The Bible also holds out the hope of being reunited with our loved ones, for Jesus spoke about the resurrection hope, that we can put trust and confidence in-John 528, 29, 11 41-45! May you be comforted!
