Darry Allen Winstead, Jr., age 35, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 7, 2015. Born in Rocky Mount, NC on August 15, 1979. He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Clarice Smith. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his son Jacob Winstead; mother Donna Winstead; father, Darry Winstead, Sr.; sister April Henson and her husband, Steve, Jr.; sister, Heather Winstead; brother, Daniel Winstead; maternal grandfather, Randolph Joyner; maternal grandmother, Betty Joyner; paternal grandfather, Edward Winstead; paternal grandmother, Teresa Winstead; nieces and nephews, Pamela Etling, Naomi Henson, Eric Henson and John Henson. He is also survived by several cousins. Darry was a loving son, grandson and a beloved father to his son, Jacob. He enjoyed his landscaping business. The family and friends will receive friends Monday, January 12, 2015 from 12:30 PM - 1:45 PM at Morton Presbyterian and other times at 6955 Randy Lane. A Church service will follow at 2:00 PM at Morton Presbyterian with Pastor Mary Todd officiating. Burial will follow at Pineview Cemetery. Flowers and or contributions may be made in Darry's name to Morton Presbyterian Church, 6605 West Mount Drive, Rocky Mount, NC 27803.
