Buck and Family – So sorry to hear about the loss of your Mother. I met her at The Fountains of the Albemarle and she was a very nice lady. May your wonderful memories comfort you in the days ahead. Sending thoughts and prayers to all of you. – Carolyn Sapp
Churchill Young lived a long, richly productive life. She will be greatly missed by her loving family, and many friends. I came to know her through the marriage of her son Neely to my sister Myra. With the birth of their son Josh, she soon became Mater”-and I will always remember her in that way-as a caring supportive mother to all of us. Though limited to family gatherings I quickly learned to appreciate and respect her. Returning from a trip I stayed a night in her home in 2004. We shared meals and enjoyed the GA Tech VA Tech football game on TV-though I don’t recall who was pleased with the outcome! Numerous favorable adjectives could describe Churchill but these come quickly to mind; pleasant, encouraging, assertive, and with it. Her faith and love sustained her through the joys and trials of life, and her knowledge and solutions, were passed earnestly to the loved ones who survive her. Larry Knowles
Buck and Sherry, Our family has you guys in our prayers. We have watched Buck faithfully serve his mom in her latter years. He has been a great son to her. What a great son! His mom is enjoying Jesus now.
I worked with Churchill in advertising in Norfolk, VA. She was a charismatic and energetic person. Everyone admired her. She taught me so much and I like to think I carried on her expertise and enthusiasm in my media career. She will be remembered by many.
