Christopher “Lil Chris” Lynn Turner

ROCKY MOUNT - Christopher "Lil Chris" Lynn Turner, age 32, passed away on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 from a car accident. He was born in Edgecombe County, NC on December 20, 1988. Chris was preceded in death by his father, Carlton Turner; his paternal grandparents, James and Verona Turner; his maternal grandfather, Cleveland Turner; and his uncles, Robbie Dew, Roger Turner, and Milton Turner. Chris loved all his family, especially his aunt Teresa and his cousin Travis, who was like a brother and who he adored immensely. In his younger years, Chris loved skating, baseball, dirt bikes, and fishing. His biggest smiles and greatest laughter were shown when spending time with his little cousins, Tristan, Aspen, and Kaiden. Chris will be well remembered, forever loved, and greatly missed by all his family and friends. Chris is survived by his loving mother, Brenda Turner Joyner and step-father, Kenny Joyner of Rocky Mount; his maternal grandmother, Joyce Turner, his aunts, Teresa Dew, Pattie Mullins (Jamie), and Vicky Boyd (Donald); his uncle, Junior Turner; his cousins, Travis (Christian), Brandon, Nikki, and Blake; and special friends, Donnie Cascell (Holly) and DJ Douglas. A Funeral Service to celebrate Chris' life will be held on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Rev. Joe Price officiating. Burial will follow the service at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. The family will receive friends and relatives on Friday, May 21, 2021 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home.
