ROCKY MOUNT - Charles Brantley Moore, age 91, passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2020. Born in Tift County, GA on December 8, 1928, he was the son of the late Walter Rooney Moore, Sr. and Georgia Walston Moore. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Etta Mae Umpstead; brother's, Walter Rooney Moore, Jr. and James C. Moore.
Charles proudly served his country in the United States Air Force.
Charles leaves behind to cherish his memory, his sisters, Adeline Moore Becknell of Greensboro, and Lou Moore Davis of Greenville. He is also survived by his many friends.
The family would like to thank his caregivers, Robbin Pridgen, Linda Proctor and Samatha Cuevas for their dedicated and loving care of Charles.
A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Pineview Cemetery, 761 N. Raleigh Road, NC 27801 with Rev. Carlton Cockrell officiating. A visitation with the family will follow the service at the graveside.
Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made in Charles memory to the Veteran's Association of America, Inc., P.O. Box 309 Audubon Station, New York, NY 10032.
