Carolyn Rose Coggins

ROCKY MOUNT – Carolyn Rose Coggins, age 82, passed away on Saturday, May 13, 2023. Born in Nash County, NC on March 26, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Louis Rose and Lessie Mae Davis. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Corlett Coggins; her son, Preston Tharrington; and her siblings, Elsie Tippett, Eloise Murray, Laura Collins, James Rose, and Brenda Webb.
Carolyn is survived by her daughters, Sara Gordon, and Jenny Hopkins; her brother, Earl Sauls; and her sisters, Susie Moss, Ann Collins, Shirley Serpico, and Carla Lee.
A Celebration of Carolyn’s Life will be held on Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Pastor Jerome Mozingo officiating. Visitation with the family will follow the service until 4:00 PM in the Atrium of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home.
