Briann Nicole Dawes

SHARPSBURG - Briann Nicole Dawes, age 28, passed away on Wednesday, August 10, 2016. Born in Nash County, NC on March 1, 1988, she was the daughter of Bruce Elwood Dawes of Laurel Springs and Dianne Bryant Dawes of Sharpsburg. She was preceded in death by maternal grandfather, Bobby Bryant and her paternal grandparents, Thad Dawes and Clydie Mae Dawes. Briann leaves behind to cherish her memory, two daughters, Aurora Sky Dawes and Bella-Jade Rose Hedgepeth. She is also survived by her brother, Chad Clifton of Sharpsburg; sisters, Melissa Dawes of Rocky Mount and Molly Dawes of Laurel Springs; and her maternal grandmother, Mildred Bryant of Rocky Mount. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday, August 14, 2016 at 4:00 PM in the Chapel of Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home Cremation Services with Rev. Howard Kendrick officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Gideon Bible Ministries, P. O. Box 140800, Nashville, TN 37214.   2. When I moved to Nash County in middle school Briann was one of the first friends I made. We haven’t talked in years, but she got me through some difficult times. My prayers are with her family. She was truly an amazing and sweet person.

  4. I remember so well keeping this beautiful young lady as a baby in our church nursery when she was a tiny little thing! Although we didn’t have much contact as she grew older, don’t think I’ll ever forget the doll in the red dress! My heart goes out to you, Diane–Wish I could do something to ease the pain. I cannot but our Lord can. Praying that all the family is comforted by Him Who comforts all who lean on Him. My love and prayers to all the family!

  9. I still remember the day I took this photo of Bri and Mel thinking how much Bri looks like Mary, mother of Jesus. I so Enjoyed times spent with Melissa and Bri, these two characters always had me laughing, crying, or praying! I love you both, RIP Bri.
